At amika we’re all about being kind, clean, and cruelty-free. We were sustainable and planet-friendly before it was a thing and are passionate about creating top-quality, leaping-bunny-certified hair products without compromise.

When it comes to product formulation, we keep it pretty simple: no nasties. Our products are packed full of highly effective ingredients without sulfates (SLS, SLES, ALS), parabens, aluminum starch, and over 1,300 kind-of questionable ingredients. We hunted down one of the world’s most potent natural ingredients — sea buckthorn — and made this holy grail of hair health a central ingredient in our products.
Not only are we kind to hair, we’re kind to the planet. Sustainability is important to us at amika, so we make our bottles with 90% post-consumer recycled plastics to reduce virgin plastic production (they’re also 100% recyclable).
The love doesn’t stop there, though! Through our partnership with more:trees, every order of more than £1 qualifies for a tree to be planted in your name in one of the world’s forests (pretty cool if you ask us).

normcore: cruelty free shampoo
Normcore signature shampoo is foundational to our signature collection. A powerhouse of vitamins and antioxidants, this nourishing vegan shampoo gently cleanses for soft, shiny strands. Suitable for all hair types (even colour and chemically-treated hair), it’s formulated with coconut acid and sea buckthorn for a satisfying lather that delivers hydration.
Massage into wet hair and rinse. Follow with normcore signature conditioner or soulfood nourishing mask.
