A pea sized amount of this weighed my hair down but. . .

It gave my hair a nice shine but after using Amika mask/conditioner I guess I really didn't need this product. I can see using this after a few days at the beach or pool to restore moisture, maybe? I might have to give it another chance but this time just a barely-there layer on my hands to start and only on the ends.

This balm did a great job smoothing my hair. It looked a lot better after blow drying with this product applied than not. I also use the velveteen dream shampoo and conditioner. I wouldn’t say it totally gets rid of frizz but that’s hard in the Midwest summer humidity. It smells amazing like all amika products.

Not what I expected for my long thick curly hair

I first tried the smoothing shampoo and normcare conditioner. The normcare conditioner was GREAT! For my 2+ ft of hair I would only use about a half dollar size of conditioner (which for me was AMAZING also considering the price of Amika). So I thought if the normcare conditioner made my hair SO soft and silky then the smoothing conditioner must be BETTER. I was wrong. My hair tangles more, I have to use double or triple the amount of conditioner for it even then not to be as silky as it was with the normcare conditioner. For reference - I have never-been-colored hair that is curly, thick, frizzy, and very long. I bought the large bottle of this so I will stick it out I just have to use another leave in conditioner on top. I just wanted to say - if the normcare is working for you don't switch to this or only buy the trial bottle to try first. I am loving everything else from Amika!!
