This dryer is fantastic! I cannot use a round brush and dry my hair at the same time to save my life. I end up with an unintentional crimping effect. This dries my hair fast and smoothly. I was surprised at how straight it made my wavy hair. The following morning, my hair was still straight and didn't need touched up like it normally does. I previously had an off brand 9f this similar style dryer. The Amika dryer smoothed my hair, while the other one left frizz. I have thick, wavy hair and this dryer cut down my drying and styling time by a lot.
