5I am pretty obsessed with this product! It makes my hair shiney and just beautiful! I got so many compliments at work that my hair looks “great†and “healthyâ€! Do yourself a favor and get it because it’s going to be my new staple! Make sure to shampoo and condition and then use this product. I would keep it on for two minutes or longer. Also it smells fantastic! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I got this as a gift.

Amazing!!
5Received this as a gift from amika and let me tell you guys loved it on the first try! I washed my hair every other day with my regular shampoo and conditioner after I used the flash mask amazing:raised_hands::skin-tone-4: I have wavy short colored hair use a lot of heat on it, this mask is magical left my hair soft I let it my hair air dry and after straighten it loved the results my hair look shiny and soft after 2 days of not washing it still looks amazing really recommend it!

5I received this as a gift and wasn’t too sure if it would do much. I was shocked how soft my hair was after the first use. I also had an easier time combing my hair post shower which is a huge plus!

SO IMPRESSED!
5I was honestly so impressed with this product. I did my usual shampoo & conditioner then applied the mask for about 2 minutes. From the moment I took the towel off of my head I was able to see how smooth my hair looked and felt. After blow drying, my hair was shinier than ever and I did notice it was a lot less frizzy than normal. I am able to use only this product and nothing else & my hair looks amazing. Highly recommend! Everyone needs to try this. I received this product in exchange for my honest review. :)

Soft hair
4Received this mask as a gift from Amika and I tried it after having not washed my hair for 5 days. I shampooed and conditioned as usual and left the mask on for 2 minutes.. my hair is curly/medium thick so usually I use products after I shower to detangle my hair and style, but I decided not to and I had NO issue detangling my hair and let it air dry. My hair was very soft and shiny! I’ve used it twice since receiving it and I love how soft and shiny my hair feels without using additional products on my hair!

HOLY GRAIL !
5Wow, just wow. This product is truly a game changer! I recieved this product from Amika as a gift to try before releasing it to the public. This product comes out as a clear, thin liquid (almost like an in-shower serum.) this product is super light & doesnt feel heavy/weighed down at all. it also does not lather -- which I prefer -- it sort of just coats your hair. it truly is a "flash" mask. after applying to my wet hair -- I combed it through and left it in for a minute or two -- then washed out. instantly I could feel that my hair was soft and not tangly at all. after blowdrying -- my hair was less frizzy and it was easier to straighten as well. the first time I used this product, I only shampooed prior to using it, I did not condition. I was worried that my hair would end up super tangled & dry - but that was not the case. even without conditioning -- my hair was so soft and felt plenty hydrated. important thing to note -- this mask is not a replacement for conditioner. if you normally condition in the shower -- you should still do that -- then use the mask as a final step. On top of all of the added shine & manageability benefits that this product offers -- the smell alone deserves an award. the smell is so light & refreshing -- it's truly an intoxicating smell. all day long -- I would get random whiffs of the smell which was such a plus for me!! I absolutely love this product and am so glad that its something we can use every wash as it's not stripping to the hair! I plan on adding this to my every wash day routine !! I absolutely love this product and what it's done for my hair. my hair is so soft & practically frizz free now!!! this is definitely a holy grail hair product

Amazing!
5Received this as a gift to try from Amika. I'm so stoked about this shine mask. I love it! It's super easy to use. Shampoo and Condition your hair (Instructions say Cleanse, but do do both!). Then squeeze out the excess water in your hair and apply in sections. I used a wide tooth comb for better distribution. You can have a mini jam out session while you wait for it to sink in (only takes a minute or two). My hair drank it in like nothing! I towel dried my hair and blow dried it. I definitely noticed a difference right off the bat! Hair is smooth and shiny. Super Soft! No Frizz, No Floof! (Very important to avoid in Southern humidity). Husband commented on how well my hair looked and wants to try it in his beard! Definitely recommend! Will be buying more :)

I really wanted to love it but
2I received this as a gift and everything about seemed like it would be perfect for fine-ish color treated hair, but sadly I felt like it made my hair feel oily. My hair is dark on top and has a bleached under-layer that I dye different colors, and it seemed that the bleached part of my hair liked the mask, but not the rest of my hair- especially my roots. I tried to use it as the directions say, and the first day my hair looked great, but my roots looked and felt greasy the next day. The next week I tried to mix a little in with my conditioner focusing it mainly on my ends and the same thing happened again, looked great the first day, had to wash my hair the next day (usually I can go 2 or 3 days between washes). I feel like this might be better for someone who has thicker and maybe more coarse hair than I do. I'm going to keep playing with it to see if I can get it to work but the few times I've tried I haven't had any luck, which is disappointing because I like other Amika products.

the real “mom†review :joy:
5So I wanted to leave a super “real†review of the shine mask (mostly because I’m 4 days postpartum and let’s be serious, we’re lucky I had time to take a shower at all, let alone actually style my hair with this boob monster attached to me at all times :grinning_face_with_one_large_and_one_small_eye:). First off, I was skeptical about not using conditioner but honestly once you put it on and kind of comb through your hair, it basically feels like conditioner- super silky when you’re rinsing it out and no tangles (with that amazing Amika scent, obv!). Now that my hair is air dried, it is SO SHINY and feels super light - almost the feeling you get when they wash your hair at the salon - like, SUPER clean. It also didn’t weigh down my bangs, which is a huge plus because a lot of the time I don’t like to put masks on them cuz they end up getting weighed down or greasy-looking. It felt like I had just went to the salon even 3 days after I used it!

Pleasantly Surprised!
4Initially I was expecting a thicker consistency- similar to the Reset scalp oil, but it’s a little thinner then that. My hair doesn’t necessarily look any shinier than usual, however it looked amazing after straightening. I typically have a lot of flyaways from regrowth and breakage from coloring. Plus I live in Florida, so the humidity is always a factor. But I feel like I didn’t have to worry about any of that after using the mask. I was expecting for my hair to feel very soft after the shower like it does after using the conditioning masks. While my hair didn’t feel soft directly out of the shower, it did feel softer once dried and styled. I would suggest using this product after conditioning and not replacing your conditioner.
